Latest Xperia Z5 smartphones another high end product from Sony

Sony is quite clear in one thing that it is not a bargain company for smartphone.  The Japanese electronics firm recently revealed three models Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 premium.  All three models come with powerful camera of 23 megapixel, fingerprint scanner and waterproof body.  The main differences in models are of screen size, resolution and materials.

Sony’s strategy for high end market is quite different from many other cellphone companies like ZTE, Lenovo, Alcatel, which focus more on consumer’s affordability factor and have pushed their prices down to get more attention.  This strategy has helped China’s Xiaomi in getting more market share as it keeps on selling cheap price smartphones with fancy components.

It was being rumored recently that the Japanese consumer electronics firm would seize the mobile business after being in loss continuously.  But over several months the firm has worked really hard on its mobile business and has focused on producing higher end phones like Z5 etc.  The main problem with Sony is that its going to compete with Apple and Samsung, which have already spent a lot of money to create their brand and dominate the market.  According to some research analysts Sony is trying hard to survive in the market where Apple is having higher percentage of sales and for remaining Android customers there is quite tough competition.

Sony is about to launch three new phones but has positioned no product for bargaining.  Another claim by the consumer electronics giant is that the Z5 phone series has the fastest autofocus camera speed with a battery life of two days.  Another attraction of Z5 compact phone it is quite smaller compared to bigger phones these days and a definite choice for users who prefer to have something handy.  No pricing details have been revealed so far but the specifications suggest that price would be more than the iPhone 6 range phones.  New features are not enough to compete against the brand strength of Apple and Samsung so Sony would have to focus on its advertising, which so far Sony has failed to do.  One advantage to Sony is that many customers still prefer small screen sizes and with Z5 compact’s 4.6 inch screen the company can tap the market and make its place.
